Microsoft Calculator #FAIL
Windows calculator is an essential tool . No doubt that it is simple and efficient piece of software. Today I came across a video mentioning about bug in simple calculation. The error is reflected in all versions of Windows( I believe ). Tested with Windows 7 and XP. Both of them showed the error.
Don’t get excited feeling that it is BIG ONE.
- Go to Calculator
- Enter 4 and find square root using the Sqrt button.
- You will get the result as 2
- Subtract with 2 and see the final result :)
Edit:
I can not find the Sqrt button.. In XP Pro.
I have added to the Post.
Huh, good thing I don’t use the square root button very often
Hahahah, that is a really big fail. Obviously microsoft developers don’t know maths.
yeah. :P
What a failure on Microsofts part. It’s amazing how they can design an entire operating system and then mess up something as simple as a calculator.
Quite interesting! I checked & it looks like a bug :) I also checked in some Nokia mobile calc & they are working fine…
Interesting ! result was something like this 1.06828…….
